Job description

You genuinely believe AI is going to change the way organisations work. Not as a buzzword, but as a conviction that drives you day to day. You have your own view of what AI can mean for products, teams and customers, and you are ready to turn that view into a product that grows.

iO's ambition is to become the AI Native Marketing & Technology partner of the next decade, and Bonzai is the platform that has to carry it. You combine the energy of a startup with the customers, stability, and resources of iO. You sit in the product development team with AI engineers and Cloud Operations, work with business development and customer success across our campuses, and report to the Group AI Director.

About iO Bonzai
Our own AI and automation platform: Chat for secure assistants, Apps so teams build their own tools, Connect for access to CRM, ERP, PIM and CMS. EU hosted and built for the EU AI Act.

What makes the role interesting and complex is that iO Bonzai serves two audiences. iO colleagues use it to work faster and deliver better; paying customers buy it as a platform. Most of what we build strengthens both, but timing and priority rarely match: a hardening sprint external customers need urgently may do little for internal users this quarter. The team builds a platform, not a catalogue of use cases, since those come from colleagues and customers. Making those calls and keeping both audiences confident they are heard is the core of this job.

What you will do

  • Process and predictability come first. You structure the intake of feature requests, prioritise them with engineers and stakeholders, and give the team a rhythm it can hold. Our internal AI trainer triages what colleagues keep asking for, so part of that intake reaches you.

  • Once the base is solid, the bigger work is sequencing the shift from chat to work and on to AI team members.

  • Develop and manage the product strategy and roadmap for the iO Bonzai ecosystem, in line with commercial objectives.

  • Set up product processes and make the team work more predictably, structuring and prioritising feature requests with engineers and stakeholders.

  • Balance internal iO users against paying customers, and make that trade off explicit rather than implicit.

  • Decide what belongs in the platform and what stays a client specific solution.

  • Contribute to subscription revenue growth, turning usage based pricing and AI budgets into revenue across AI Fundamentals and

  • Bonzai subscriptions, and work with marketing on sales enablement and campaigns.

  • Coordinate between the central product team and the local sales teams across the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Denmark, run demos and alignment sessions, and analyze market trends and customer feedback.

Questions? Our recruiter, Fleur, will be happy to help you. You can apply until Friday, October 2.

Job requirements

  • Three years or more as a Product Manager or in a comparable role, focused on digital products.

  • Technical understanding deep enough to feel where things strain. You do not need to build it yourself, but you do need to follow why an agent running autonomously for two hours is a different problem from a chat answering one question, and why a reliable solution costs far more than proof of concept. You can discuss trade offs with engineers without nodding along, then explain them commercially without overpromising.

  • Your own view on AI and its impact on products and organisations, which you will defend and also develop.

  • You work AI native. You actively use AI, including vibe coding, for product requirements and daily workflows.

  • Strong stakeholder management, commercial insight and a growth mindset.

It is an advantage if you

  • Have experience with subscription and SaaS business models, and with revenue optimisation.

  • Know agentic AI, and have worked with automation tools such as n8n.

  • Have run a product with two distinct user groups whose priorities compete.
