Job description
Ready to kick off your career at one of Europe's leading digital agencies? At iO, we work at the intersection of strategy, creativity, content, and technology — and we're looking for a Junior Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team in Sofia.
You'll be working in a dynamic environment where no two weeks look the same. Depending on the assignment, you could be embedded in one of our Digital Marketing Operations (DMO) teams, supporting global brands in executing their digital campaigns day-to-day. Or contribute to exciting project-based work such as content migrations, platform transitions, or digital transformation initiatives.
Either way, you'll be hands-on from day one.
What You'll Be Doing?
- Digital Marketing Operations
In a DMO role, you become a reliable execution partner for marketers at some of the world's biggest brands. Think of it as being the person who makes the digital magic actually happen:
Managing web pages or email campaigns end-to-end - from intake to delivery
Being the go-to contact for stakeholders throughout the full request lifecycle
Sharing best practices and helping marketers get the most out of their activation ideas
Spotting risks early and making sure nothing falls through the cracks
Keeping service documentation sharp, clear, and up to date
Actively contributing to improving our service portfolio
- Project Work
Sometimes you'll step into a more project-focused role, for example:
Supporting content migrations from one CMS to another
Helping execute platform migrations (e.g., moving from one marketing automation tool to a new one)
Contributing to digital transformation projects as part of a cross-functional team
Documenting processes, validating content, and ensuring quality throughout a project lifecycle
Both tracks give you serious exposure to enterprise-level digital marketing, and real ownership over your work.
Job requirements
You're fresh out of university (or wrapping up your final year), or you're early in your career and ready to level up. You don't need to know everything. Curiosity and a willingness to learn go a long way here.
Background & Skills
• A degree (or final-year student) in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, Digital or a related field
• Experience in creating web pages or email campaigns is a plus, but not essential. Whether you have gained it through an internship, side project, coursework or an earlier role, we'd be keen to hear about it
• Strong written and spoken English (C1 level) — you'll be working in international environments
• Bonus points if you've worked with tools such as Adobe Experience Manager, Marketo or Adobe Journey Optimizer – but don't let it stop you from applying if you haven't
• Any experience with service or project management tools (Jira, Workfront, ServiceNow)
You as a person
You're structured and detail-oriented — things don't slip past you
You communicate clearly and aren't afraid to ask questions
You enjoy working in a team but can also run with a task independently
You're proactive: you see what needs to be done and you do it
