Job description
As a Project/Account Manager at iO, you are the central link in the partnership with our client. You take care of one Business Unit and act as their day-to-day contact point. You receive the daily briefings, translate them into clear action for the team and plan the work with the team. You make sure every project and campaign is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
You build strong, lasting client relationships and understand the business context behind each request. You ask the right questions, act as a proactive sparring partner and always look for the best solution. Then you turn their ambitions into concrete, successful projects and marketing campaigns.
You are both the face of the client inside iO and the face of iO for the client. That means you combine two roles:
Account management: you own the relationship and have the overview of everything we do for your part of the client's organisation.
Project management: you are responsible for the delivery and quality of all projects, from planning and budgets to quotations and invoicing.
You work in a lively ecosystem of experts, from marketers and developers to designers and strategists. You lead multi-disciplinary teams, make sure everyone knows what needs to be done, by when and to which expectations, and make sure the team gets the feedback it needs from the client.
Requests from your Business Unit come in on a daily basis, and you turn them into clear, realistic quotations. You can also contribute to the bigger picture, such as the yearly account plans and strategic meetings with the client. You don't shy away from that, right?
Your key responsibilities
Client relationship and day-to-day contact
Be the main contact point for your Business Unit, handling daily briefings and requests.
Build sustainable relationships and act as a proactive, critical sparring partner.
Translate client briefings into clear, efficient follow-up, plan the work in the team and ensure strong delivery.
Organise meetings, communicate proactively and follow up on third parties.
Contribute to the yearly account plans and take part in strategic meetings with the client.
Project leadership and quality
Lead medium and large projects and follow marketing campaigns from A to Z.
Coordinate the production of campaign assets across different channels.
Align with creative, copy, design, strategy, media, production and external partners.
Safeguard timings and quality so that everything is delivered correctly and on time.
Work within approval and compliance processes, making sure the right reviews happen at the right time.
Budgets, quotations and invoicing
Prepare quotations for the incoming requests, together with your colleagues and based on their estimates. Defend them with clear arguments when the client has questions.
Own the budget: monitor budgets, timings and scope closely, and flag deviations early.
Take care of administrative and operational follow-up, including invoicing.
Teamwork
Work closely with colleagues across disciplines and give everyone the right context to deliver their best work.
Bring structure and overview, and keep collaboration between all parties smooth.
Job requirements
You have at least 3 years of experience in account management, project management or campaign coordination, ideally 5 years or more, preferably in an agency with a strong digital DNA.
You are structured, efficient and results-driven. You keep going until you get results, and the admin side doesn't scare you.
You are a true team player. You share knowledge, learn from your colleagues and energise others towards a common goal.
You are a critical sparring partner who gets the most out of creative and business ideas while keeping the daily operations moving.
You are flexible, a strong multitasker, stress-resistant, solution-minded and able to work independently.
You communicate convincingly with both your team and the client, and frequent client contact gives you energy.
You speak perfect English and enjoy working with international clients. Dutch or French is also required, and mastering both is a plus.
You have experience preparing budgets and quotations, or you want to build it.
Your open communication style makes it easy to ask for help when needed. You are never alone, and you can count on enthusiastic colleagues who love sharing their experience.
Experience in marketing and in an agency environment is a strong plus.
Experience in a strongly regulated environment (for example healthcare or pharma) is a plus.
